• Reading Witch Weekly. She's a young teenage witch, and loves to know the latest in fashion. Being of the pureblood status, she wouldn't be seen with anything but Witch Weekly.
  
• Potions Class. Its her favorite class, and she is constantly pushing the ticket to learn more and experiment.
  
• Her sister. She loves her sister, yet being the younger sister she still doesn't understand why her sister doesn't want her around as much.
  
• Fashion. She loves to look her best, and fancies keeping up with the latest fashions.
  
• Her Friends. They mean the world to her, and whose friends don't?
  
• Napping with her stuffed dragon, named Daphers.Her parents had gotten it for her when Daphne went away to school, being young Daphne didn't quite understand why her sister left and she missed her terribly. It was her parents way of assuring her it would be alright.
  
• Studying.She is a bookworm in many aspects, and wants to do her best in classes. She can be found cuddled up in a dark corner of the common room or in the back of the library making her grades better.
  
• Shopping with her sister, though it doesn't happen often. For some reason, Daphne doesn't like when Astoria is around. Like a dumb child, she still seeks her sister out.
  
• Quidditch.There is something about the game, the rush of it or the feel of the wind on her face. She learned how to play almost as soon as she could fly, but she watched the game with her father far longer than that.
  
• The Rain. She enjoys the refreshing feeling that it leaves her.
  

Dislikes: (5, please explain)

• Liars. She doesn't see the point in lying, and hates being made a fool of by someone else's lies.
  
• Jealousy. She is who she is and can't change who you are, so sees no point in wishing otherwise or getting upset over something out of her control. Besides, it makes people do things they wouldn't with a clear head.
  
• Helping others with homework. They should know how to do the homework, and not constantly ask others who do. Its alright to ask once in awhile but not right before class, every time.
  
• Not being prepared. She likes to be organized and know things before hand. Making surprises uneasy for her.
  
• Mud. Ew! That requires a whole set of getting showered again, and change of clothes or the canceling of Quidditch, which is never a good thing.
  
• Gryffindors. Plain and simple, they are filth and think they are so much better than the rest. Self righteous twits!
  

Personality: Like anyone, Astoria has posititve and negative traits. Strengths and weakenesses if you will. She is quick on her feet, and can use that cunning mind of hers to get out of any situation at hand. She's intelligent and resourceful, sharp and sensible. Knowing her boundaries, she pushes then slightly but never oversteps her welcome. She watches those around her while everyone is worried about fitting in, Astoria isn't. She is the book worm of the Slytherin house.It gives her a slight edge on how to accomplish her goals. She takes charge, but behind the shadows. She knows that she is beautiful and uses it to her advantage, just not in the typical manner that most Slytherin girls do.

She isn't shy just to be shy or because she is timid around others because she is intimidated, but rather because she takes in everything around her. She uses the shy girl card to get her way or as a resort of getting out of trouble. She is a Slytherin and will use whatever means she needs to in order to accomplish her needs. She doesn't follow the crowd, and is more worried about her school work than those around her. She has goals and intends on meeting them however she has to.

Her negative qualities include being prudent, easily frustrated, choleric, emotional, jealous, and sensitive. She is turned off by lack of intelligence, if you have the brains of a troll, move it on along in the opposite direction. She can't stand the Golden Trio and while she doesn't confront them, she takes key notice to the things they do and stores it away for better use.

She fears Making her father angry.Her boggart is her father in his angred state. She hasn't seen it often, but doesn't want to test those waters. She knows that Daphne got locked up in the basement, once was enough for Astoria. She has no plans on going back there, perhaps thats why she is so cautious in how she executes her plans. She also fears, Loosing the lifestyle that she has become use to. She isn't sure how the Weasley's live, but the way that she had heard her sister and Draco talk about it, she feared that one day it might be her. Lastly, she fears Letting her mother down. She could care less about her father and letting him down unless it involved being placed in the basement for more than a minute. However, her mother was another story.



History:

It never crossed her mind that she might not get into Hogwarts. What with who her parents were and of course her sister. It wasn't even a surprise as to what house she would get into. She knew how she was, and everyone before her in her family had come from the reputable house of Slytherin. If her sister got into Slytherin, she was sure that she was going to get into the house that her family expected her to get into. With all fears set aside she strode up to the hat proudly, just as her parents had taught her and expected her to do. Her smile never faultered as she bore witness to the crowd of students watching her. SLYTHERIN, the hat called, and she took her spot among the other Slytherins at the table.

She quickly fell into the swing of things at school, and looked forward to all of her classes. She had her own group of friends seperate from her sisters, although on occassion she would spend time with them as well. It was then that she started to notice her sister pulling away from her. How could she miss it? She wasn't acting anything like she did at home and she wasn't even hanging around the friends as closely as she raved about when she was home.

Astoria had grown into her body much earlier than anyone else had in her year, giving just another reason for her to be the center of attention. It was the last thing that she wanted. She wanted to be off on her own, working about her goals rather than to be gawked at. That was her sister's job. She began to pick up on the hositility that her sister seemed to have around her, and she couldn't quite figure it out. Just because she was book smart, didn't mean that she understood her older sister by any means.

She continued to do well in school, and quickly climbed to the top of her class making both of her parents very pleased. Astoria wasn't nearly as into boys as her sister was or the attention for that fact. Daphne and her friends could keep their titles, it wasn't what Astoria needed nor wanted. It wouldn't stop her from plotting with them for any reason. She continued to watch those around her, in order to seek out their weaknesses should they prove useful at a later date.

Since then, she has gone her merry way through her classes developing a slight crush on Draco Malfoy. However, she kept it to herself thinking that he would never see her anything more than Daphne Greengrass' little sister.

RP Sample AS that character:

The sun shown through Astoria’s window, signifying the start of another day full of classes at Hogwarts. The dungeons were dark, but she had grown accustomed to the light just as a muggle would be accustomed to an alarm clock. She knew that she would be the first one down to the Slytherin Table. She always was. It amused her that no one else was excited for class like she was, no one that mattered at least. Gryffindors didn’t count, so the mud blood Granger was out of the question to even compare herself to. In her opinion, there was no comparison. She was far better, and everyone knew it. If they didn’t know it, well then it was their loss. Astoria laid there in her bed for a moment, she had quite some time before classes. Not that it wasn’t her choice, if she could have her way she would use a time turner and lead herself into class earlier and earlier every morning. Alas, it was not up to her. Pity though.

Her thoughts drifted over what she had to do for the day. Shower, head down to the great hall for breakfast, then it was off to potions, followed by Transfiguration, and Charms. Shortly after Charms, she would be able to change and head down to lunch, giving her the afternoon to finish up her homework and hopefully slip away from any one of her classmates that didn’t have brains enough to finish their homework on their own. There was nothing more she hated than to help others with their homework. If they weren’t smart enough to do it on their own, that was their bloody fault. Just because she was smart, didn’t mean that she was kind about it. After hearing the stories about how annoying Hermione Granger was in class, Astoria wished she was as old as her sister Daphne. Maybe then Hermione would have a real run for her galleons.


After thinking to herself for a few moments, she got out of bed to begin her day. Her roommates were all still fast asleep in their beds. She laughed to herself and shook her head, before gathering her things together for a shower. She allowed the water to rush over her, and relished in its feel. She smelled of lavenders and sweet scents indescribable, it was the way that she liked it. There were few mysteries in life she would rather not know the answer to. The scent of something nice being one of those. It should be a little treasure, just so long as she knew what to get when she was at the store with her mum. She slipped into her school uniform and looked herself over in a mirror. Drying her hair with a spell that her sister had taught her, she then fixed her hair and put on her robes. There was no other reason to stand in front of the mirror and gawk at herself. Everyone else did enough of that for herself.

Back in her room, she gathered her books into her messenger bag, and then flung it over her shoulder. She gave her room the once over, just to make sure that she had everything together. She was missing something, she could feel it. It finally dawned on her. Her notes from the previous class for potions. She always kept her notes close at hand, just in case she ever needed them to cross reference anything that they were learning. She finally had everything together, and then climbed out of the dungeons and towards the Great Hall. Quickly making her way to her table, she ignored everyone else around her with her nose held up high. Only a piece of toast and an apple would suffice until lunch. It wasn’t long before more and more students began to fill the Great hall. Astoria rolled her eyes and continued to read the book that she had been so incredibly engrossed in prior to their arrival. Her sister and her friends then showed up, that was her key to leave. Astoria could take a hint and she knew that her sister didn’t like having her around all that much.

She found herself in the courtyard reading, until the familiar ring of the bells signified that it was time to head to class. Each one of her classes that day taught her something new. The day tired her out quite thoroughly, and instead of heading right down for lunch she made a detour back to her room. There she changed back into her evening clothes and curled up in her bed, holding on tight to her teddy bear Daphers. Sleepily she drifted off into dream land. Who didn’t like a nice long nap after a long day of classes?
